Rachel's Guide to Newcastle and Beyond!
As I prepare to put my clocks forward an hour and celebrate the arrival of British Summer time, I can’t help but notice that my wardrobe is crying out for an injection of colour! So hurrah for intu Eldon Square’s Spring/Summer Fashion Shows in association with Hello! Fashion Monthly.
The twenty minute shows took place at regular intervals last Friday and Saturday in my favourite part of the shopping centre, St Andrew’s Way. The events encouraged you to ‘let your true colours shine’ with inspiring outfits from the likes of River Island, Monsoon, Super Dry, Dorothy Perkins and many other intu Eldon Square stores that I regularly shop in. I spotted loads of things to add to my wish list for when pay day arrives!
My good friend Anna Foster was the catwalk host and looked stunning in a cobalt blue top and black jeans with killer heels. I’m much likely to replicate that outfit than the fancy frock above which was donated to the Centrepoint clothes drop by none other than Geordie superstar Cheryl Fernandez Versini!
I also loved the stylish monochrome outfits from River Island that you can see above. I recently sent my white jeans to the charity shop thinking I was too old to wear them anymore but I might be brave and invest in a new pair, what do you think?
The fashion shows were really good fun, the models were all gorgeous and the girl’s hair had been styled beautifully, I had total hair envy!
I left intu Eldon Square with lots of ideas for what to wear once it gets a bit warmer and I’ll be heading back soon to hunt down this gorgeous blue dress modelled by Amy Childs for a fancy awards do I’m going to in June.
You can see highlights from the fashion shows in this little video from Intu Eldon Square and for more inspiration, check out their Spring/Summer style guides HERE
Looks like a fab show and what a great idea to give people some inspiration. LOVE Amy’s blue dress.
I’m really after some style inspiration right now! Not sure how practical white jeans would be with a toddler and baby in tow, although I do like the monochrome look.
