VIP Launch of Coast at intu Metrocentre

This year I have been having a major clothing clear out, at least once a month I have scoured the rails of my cluttered wardrobe and donated unloved items to charity in a bid to cut down on needlessly hoarding clothes that I never wear. I also abstained from shopping for ten whole months (couldn’t quite manage a year!) in my quest to save up and have quality over quantity in my wardrobe!

So, you can imagine my delight when I was invited to an exclusive Blogger’s breakfast to celebrate the launch of Coast’s brand new luxury store concept at intu Metrocentre… giddy is not the word!

I have turned to Coast many times over the years for the perfect wedding guest outfit or Christmas party dress and it’s never let me down yet. Their clothing is always well made and stands the test of time (I couldn’t bring myself to part with any of my Coast dresses despite my major wardrobe overhaul)!

The old stand alone branch that used to be on the ground floor of intu Metrocentre closed over a year ago and although Coast has concessions in nearby department stores, none of them compare to this sparkly new store in its rightful place in the Platinum Mall.

The shop floor is brightly lit and well laid out but my favourite feature has to be the luxurious changing rooms. With super flattering mirrors and plenty of space for swooshing around in gorgeous skirts and dresses, Coast makes shopping feel seriously special.

Some of the changing cubicles even connect together to create the perfect environment for shopping with friends and iPads available so if something is out of stock in the store you can order it online.

The other bloggers and I had an absolute ball trying on lots of different outfits and catching up with each other’s Christmas party plans over a glass of fizz. We felt so lucky to have the store all to ourselves before it opened to the public. Then we were spoilt even further by being able to choose an outfit as a gift from Coast. These were some of the stunning pieces that caught my eye…

I was beside myself with excitement as I tried on lots of different peices, especially as it had been so long since I’d last shopped for a new outfit. Everything in the Autumn Winter collection is simply beautiful but it turns out I was really out of practice when it came to actually choosing something to take home!

Several of the taller girls picked out big statement skirts like the ones above and looked absolutely beautiful in them but sadly they didn’t quite flatter my chubby 5’2″ frame.

I did fall in love with this classic Hepburn style top though, it’s made from luxiourisly soft black velvet and made me feel so feminine and sophisticated. I tried it on with several different skirts including the Lela PU and Lace skirt I’m pictured in above. But I finally settled on the Prinsloo Jacquard Skirt below which I think  I’ll be able to re-style in Spring with a lighter coloured top and gold sandals. I love the metallic colours and the side pockets!

I now have the perfect Christmas party outfit and I can’t wait to wear it! Follow me over on instagram to see how I style it!

I’ve also got my eye on on some classic coats and sparkly accessories from Coast, so a return visit is definitely on the cards and thankfully, shopping here means I’ll be sticking to my new rule of only allowing quality, long lasting fashion in to my newly organised wardrobe!
